One thing is for sure.......something very odd is going on.........
Whoever is acquiring, has absolutely no regard for price.....they paid up to 29 cents today when liquidity was low, a whopping 80% up from start of the day, and almost 300% from a few weeks ago
If you consider, 'in the good days' post float years ago, Clives posted massive profits with only their core 12 stores before the big national diwersification expansion...those profits justfied a $3.50 share price
Clives does indeed have a lot of potential.....even their vertical integration strategy recently, I think, is a breath of fresh air...as are some of their new merchandising ideas....finally they have realised they now have a massive store network and customer flow, now they can leverage off the high fixed cost into a range of higher margin endeavours.......
That's why I got in a while ago, even though they are on the brink of administration.......fundamentally, they could be worth anything.....but they are in the land of giants............JBs with its 120 store chain and few dodgy Clive Anthonys is capitalised at 1.5 Billion dollars....Clives is a mere 25 million or something
