The focus on subscriber numbers misses the point. More important is the motivation of the subscribers. If the subscribers are joining Miggster to earn money via referral commissions, it's hard to see how that isn't a pyramid scheme.
A pyramid scheme will end one way or another, either by authorities taking action against those promoting or participating in it, or it dies out when it runs out of members to snooker into joining.
