Even I think it's likely that ISX prepared a defensive brief that included a request to make shorting and OM a subject of the investigation. They may have even presented such a brief before the suspension hit, but I expect it more likely they didn't do this until after suspended.

The more salient point for ISX, however, are the transactions and customers who look dodgey. Even if ISX managed to get some OM revenge they still have those OT Capital and related questions to answer.
