I can't deny it has impacted the stock price but the indiscretion is more than a decade old and other than being a black eye for CE I can understand the current board's decision that it wasn't materially relevant. If you were sitting on the board what would you have done in the best interest of the shareholders, can you imagine the outcry if they would have fired him immediately two years ago and made a press release that he didn't disclose a pre-IPO related party transaction?
