People hear things all the time and either ignore them or arc up about them if they don't like what they are hearing. Like when we discussed the need for a CR last year. Remember how many simply refused to believe it and stuck doggedly with their pre-conceived belief in secret negotiations and all the options being magically exercised just before the $1 party and rocket launch to the moon?
If the average person couldn't be so easily deceived or bribed none of the existing political parties would exist. People see what they want to see whether its real or not.
