Good to have that little bit of positive anecdotal evidence, thanks gmutton. I'm sure it has been a grind and a frustration for Gus, as it has been for us all. He must do the right thing though and I wish he would remember that other people own shares too and deserve to be treated with respect. We don't work there, but quite a few of us (including yourself perhaps) are invested emotionally as well as financially. Although we are not supposed to let emotions cloud investment decisions, it is impossible not to, after having held a stock and been a true believer over so many years. I'm sure it is not only about the money for many of us, but also about seeing the company rise from the ashes and be a success and grow etc. And perhaps also so we can say to ourselves, "you see, I was right to believe in optiscan and it's technology and it's people, they came good in the end!"

Being a shareholder entitles one to be treated according to the rules of the asx and Gus has clearly failed in that part of his role and needs to do better. Additionally, accurate information about the progress of the company you own should not be a luxury doled out when management condescend to do so. At the moment we are like oliver twist "please sir, can I have some more"; we have our begging bowl out for a tidbit of information. We OWN the company, but we can never find out why when they miss a deadline. Yes I know many companies probably treat their shareholders thus, but it does not make it right.

If one owned a slice of the corner store but the management would never tell you wtf was going on I think one would be pretty upset.
