When I read their reply, I understood something that seems to be at the core of both the AFR articles and ASX's questioning. Their "trial period" is in fact the entire length of however long the client chooses to use their software because there is no penalty for cancellation. This seems to be the point of argument/misunderstanding. Perhaps they should have called it a '30 day Fee-Free period' instead of a "trial period'.
Since clients can cancel at any time with no penalty, it becomes a moot point. Perhaps they should have better communicated this by reminding shareholders, with each announcement, that the installation begins with 30 days of fee-free use, then is pay per use with cancellation at any time without penalty.
