The ASX wont be satisfied with GSW answers so both parties will sit down to find a solution, which I think will end up with GSW establishing new protocols and protections around announcements. There is likely to be new employees dedicated to the task.
If the company is delisted as some suggest I will fall off my chair, as I have seen far worse problems and the company has been allowed to trade on after what I suggest above. It is no one's best interest for this to occur.
Whether the larger shareholders will be happy with just these changes I am not sure, they may ask/demand a new management structure but this will come later on.
I doubt we will see GSW trade this week until the ASX is sure GSW has the necessary checks and balances in place.
Sorry I cant give any grand conspiracy theories but that is not normally how it works.

A mountain has most certainly been made out of a mile hill on this and you are right, there are far worse scenarios for a stock. Trust me, I hold HML ha ha
