    Direct reduced iron (DRI) or HBI (hot briquetted iron - DRI that has been compacted) can be processed in arc furnaces as well scrap steel, so not all of the feedstock for an arc furnace has to be scrap/recycled.

    So I'm thinking about the possibility of making HBI in the Kimberly using Hazer hydrogen from Woodside gas, cheap renewable energy, and a Primetals process (and maybe Fortescue iron ore?). So instead of exporting low value iron ore, export high value HBI for use in making steel in arc furnaces around the world.
