No reason someone can't hold multiple accounts via trusts etc and set a big buy order low and with other accounts sell smaller amounts of shares pushing it down to their buy price where they then place a huge sell order just above their buy order restricting the price from rising thus enticing people to sell to his big buy order because they think that's a fair market value...

I've done it before with crypto myself and made a pretty penny. it's possible to do it with one account also, bit trickier to manage but imo
