Since the announcement of the container deposit scheme I’ve become very interested in the waste sector. Australia undoubtedly lags well behind Europe (particularly Scandinavia) in their waste management and recycling. If CWY can prove to be capable I’m sure that their will be plenty of grants and gov help available in the near future to get Aussies away from using landfill. This episode has given me a buying opportunity. From an outsiders point of view it’s the perfect time for a fresh CEO to move things forward and someone with a recycling background would surely be advantageous in securing gov contracts and possible funding.
