CWY's reply to the ASX is a disgrace. I hope the ASX doesn't let the matter rest there.
on 1 July we have the Board receiving a report of an investigation into serious misbehaviour of the CEO. Report remains confidential with internal 'remediation' actions undertaken.
Nothing released to the ASX.
On 31 August CWY advises ASX by way of 3Y that CEO Bansai has disposed 4 mil CWY shares @ $2.49/share.
14 September CWY responds to media reports.
15 September @ COT, CWY shares at $2.24 following further media reporting.
Despite the public and resultant share price reactions to misbehaviour by senior execs at QBE, AMP etc, CWY's Board would have us believe there was 'nothing to see here' nor that Bansai's disposal of 4 mil shares at a time when information, (that in all likelihood would have had a negative impact on the share price had it been available to the market) clearly of interest, was withheld from the market...
By the tone and extent of its queries to CWY, the the ASX has major concerns.
