I personally can’t recommend LIFX to anyone.
I have lots of homekit devices. Locks, sensors, cameras power sockets etc.
my LIFX lights are the only devices that are consistently not responding.
Their only saving grace is that they still function as a regular bulb when connectivity isn’t working.
I want to upgrade the house with homekit light switches as this is a far more logical setup than having smart lights. But there is no way I’m risking buying lifx switches after my experience with the bulbs. And of course the risk of long term support given the company solvency and leadership issues.
