That's frankly bullshit in my opinion.
The line that WBT didn't suspect information about the CR had leaked out because they were monitoring the press and had only told the necessary people is a shit excuse. They should have asked ASX for an immediate trading halt once it became clear that the daily movement exceeded the norms, considering the information they were sitting on.
it may have resulted in the same thing, as generally a price will revert to a CR price over the short term, but at least retail and institutional investors wouldn't have been made mince meat of by the CR leaders with their inside info.
