You've created a nexus that doesn't exist. AJM have not dismissed civmec's claims because civmec were late delivering the project.

AJM have:

- stated that LD's have been applied because civmec were late. Fair enough, Civmec agreed to the LD's.
- rejected unsubstantiated variations tabled by civmec. This is obviously in dispute.

The two are mutually exclusive, and neither of the above are uncommon occurrences.

Civmec, for their part, have a record of poor project performance followed by unsubstantiated inflated claims. Just ask Multiplex at the stadium.
