A. This is not a software release/ update gone wrong. B. It is in the terminal platform software delivered by Worldline and even that is 'not due to an update given now'. C. Issue is not in any specific payments functionality and rather certificate generation/ identification. This in a way invalidates the terminal (so called bricking) but at the same time does not point to reckless software development. While it created so much damage, this is the type of thing that can be fixed and ensure non-repetition (compared to a reckless development process where the worry remains for a period in future).
This update gives sufficient confidence that 1. Issue may not re-occur. 2. As some pointed few days back, Tyro did not go to 'blame-game' and just focused on fixing the issues.
All in all seems good update.
