The company did nothing wrong about duty. just re-read the comapny's response to Article on 06/03, they did say " Cettire's model is to ship to customers DDP or delivered duty paid. Through this shipping model, Cettire provides a service to customers where it manages the cross-border logistics process including all customs clearances.
As is common practice in cross-border e-commerce, an estimate of the duties and import fees payable for an
order is charged at checkout. " The imports duty has been paid upon customs clearance, which customers paid estimate on check-out.
Why SMH today's Article quesiton it again ? Cettire might have a company registered at USA / other country as importer to clear goods from customs and pay imports duty. for TAX, it's nothing to do with buyer but between the registered importer and the country. The registered company at USA certainly followed up the declaration of company tax.
then the Journalist asked another quesiton " The relationship between Cettire with supplieres ?" THIS IS NOT A QUESITON, AND NO NEED TO ANSWER. WHY don't ask quesiton to Amazon what relationship with all global suppliers ? The journalist just doesn't understand what is E-COMMERCE !
The value of Cettire are their strategy, online shopping technology and platform as Dean said on H1-FY24 report " I believe this is our strongest trading half since Cettire went public several years ago and further demonstrates the uniqueness of our business model, the benefits of our proprietary technology platform and the strength of our execution. Our proposition is clearly resonating with both the demand and supply side of our platform as we continue
to rapidly penetrate the global personal luxury goods market. Cettire’s localisation initiatives, enabled by its proprietary storefront software, remain a key strategic priorityto increase penetration in emerging markets."
Suggest read again " Ann: Rapid profitable growth delivering H1 Adj. EBITDA of $26.1m". they do have inceasing customers to make Positive trading momentum continued into H2-FY24 as the demand environment remains healthy
> Positive Adjusted EBITDA4 achieved during January as gross revenue4 increased by
approximately +80% versus pcp
Tomorrow will be interesting day.
