some legal weasel words going on here. If they just ended the sentence "...and remitting sales taxes in the[se] states. ", it would be very clear they have been registered for sales tax since Day 1.

But putting "as normal" at the end creates some ambiguity on whether they have been doing so since Day 1, and of course is designed to do so so that it protects their ar$e from future accusations of producing misleading statements.
