I don't think it's a 'smear campaign', there are legitimate investigations into and questions being asked on social media (X, substack, capital brief and the usual AFR etc) surrounding payment of duties and tax.
Astute investors (including potential investors) will be trying to better understand these issues to manage investment risk as best they can.
There are clearly some information gaps associated with CTT, some of which are being narrowed through this questioning...
