I agree, these guys don't spend big. They know how to establish beachheads with a few bucks, then leverage the heck out of the acquired business' core competencies or JV relationship across their entire group. It's quite amazing actually.
BUT... seeing how the same cautious and brilliant guys are still running the show, it is exciting to hear that they could possibly be putting a large part of that $200M onto an acquisition. I mean, if the same careful and measured approach are used on this scale, imagine the kind of growth and value it will bring to the group.
It would make a lot of sense for MND to be buying big though. They've been preserving their cash for the past few years... would be sensible to have eyed some big game and have been careful in its due diligence.
