So have a look at the short position for BAP. Sitting at about 6.5%. And has gone up about 3.5% in the last month.
And the SP will likely shoot up to near the Bain Takeover Price of about $5.40.
So lots of shorts will have to be covering.....
So what happens when Bain puts in a higher offer?
More short covering.....
Could we start to see a squeeze?
Lots of moving parts here...so its difficult. Also non binding offers etc. might not go anywhere...
Anyway...just mulling it over. What do others think?
