IMO, they are potentially worthy of far greater sanction than suspension.
That said, I have in past worked with liquidators and administrators who were fully aware, and had evidence, of directors breaching multiple fiduciary responsibilities, but had simply given up on involving ASIC as they were highly unlikely to do anything about it.
