As of May 2025, West Wits Mining Limited (ASX: WWI) has a pending application for a new prospecting right (PR10839) adjacent to its existing operations at the Witwatersrand Basin Project (WBP) in South Africa. The South African Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) formally accepted this application in November 2023. The proposed area lies south of the Qala Shallows operation and is intended to expand the company’s resource base and extend the life of the mine.
