If Giovinazzo had no authority I'm guessing that GPR would seek to claw their money back. Especially as RIM have been put on notice of this ownership issue.
This is devastating and potentially could send RIM under as they have very little cash.
The Board have a duty to let it's SHs know of it's contingency plan.
The future is opaque.
