    It happens because nobody wants to do the hard work of diversifying the australian economy. OZ is no different from being like Saudi Arabia where the oil pays for everything. Whereas Dubai saw this and went to build the infrastructure to make it a financial hub, a gold trading hub, tourist hub of the region and tax haven with pricey properties for the ultrarich.

    If OZ want to change this, vote for a government that doesn't just talk innovation and does little.
