Its all a "Bluff game" to extract money, nothing more.

If FAR was going to do anything (arbitration), they would have done it already, during the second half of last year, when there was no drilling.

All FAR has ever done since this dispute, was issue press releases after press releases, stating it is "open to amicable solution and reserving its rights".

The last bluff in Oct 2016 did not work. I highly doubt this one will either.

The Senegal Government will (and has always) taken the side of Big Money, just like they did with TOTAL.

People forget that in Senegal, one in three does not have a job. And people on average are earning USD $3 dollars a day. WPL have the money to literally give every unemployed person in that country a job, without making a huge dent to their bottom line. Note, WPL's annual expenditure is around USD $6 B versus FAR's AUD $100M (and that's being generous).

FAR does not have the MONEY or EXPERTISE to take this to production. All FAR can ever offer are soccer balls to Senegal.

The president of Senegal as a former geologist would understand this game - he would know FAR is playing this game to extract money.

He won't let the progress of his country be held hostage to some shenanigans from FAR.

For reference, review how quickly he sacked his Energy Minister so that Big Money (Total) could come into his country to assist in its development.
