According to Simply WS 4 brokers cover CXO. Evidently consensus is hold.
CXO have said they will raise $200 mill to fund the company to production.
They say they have enough funds now to last until the funding process is complete which will likely be sooner rather than later. Does not matter as they are raising anyway.
No doubt funding discussions are well under way.
I did not bother listening to the CEO phone hook up discussion- were any possible funding sources discussed?
Every one understands that there will be huge dilution. This is only a concern if you have not adjusted your expectations concerning possible SP targets.
CXO would be looking at producing early in the next lithium price rebound.
I have not seen a timeframe to production.
Late 2026 or early 2027??
CXO say they have costs under control.
They have some control over costs and time to production but not the timing of the lithium price rebound.
They do however indicate that as a low cost producer they should beat most points in the price cycle.
They have significantly increased the lithium resource size with potential for further increases later.
The bottom line is:
There is plenty of lithium in the ground,
$200 m needs to be raised to get it to market,
There will be significant dilution so adjust SP target expectations,
CXO say they have costs under control,
There is scope for later resource expansion, and
Waiting on further news concerning Gold estimates which have not yet been provided.
Is it a risk?- of course it is until it's completed and performing to expectations.
The trick is to weigh up potential SP price targets early in the rebound against your expectations of CXO getting to production as planned.
