Funny 3500 posts and if you did look only 5 posts back I put a big piece on another stock that's looking like a 5-10x upside with minimal downside.
Unfortunately this stocks forum IS an echo chamber with WTT and his copy and paste crew doing the heavy lifting while the sheep repost and report along the way. Stu there to be the alpha male and always with the "inside scoop" (funny how he missed the massive production miss and cost guidance blowout)
Its clear and simple, small boutique mines such as CXO won't survive in the future, lithium market will be dominated by large long life mines, look at what the majors are doing, they're certainly not buying core they are investing in huge multi decade assets that will ride the commodity cycle, something that a single asset company like core can never and will never do. Best case core somehow locks in a decent offtake at just above breakeven costs and pulls in a few million dollars. Unfortunately in this case if lithium does rebound they won't benefit from this pricing environment as they are locked in at a lower price. Let's say for example they take equity raising as a solution they would basically halve current shareholders value.
Have I missed something?
Just ask the question, if you didn't hold core why would you invest here when there are other huge companies that are massively discounted and can dramatically leverage any increase in lithium prices far better than core? Core is not the answer, PLS or IGO are. Even maybe ALB if they can up their game. RIO will also be a big player in the future
