For those suggesting that Lithium-ion's future is going to be overtaken by Sodium-ion batteries, this material from Bedrock Materials is worth considering.
Bedrock Materials raised capital to develop sodium-ion batteries and after a lot of research reached the conclusion that unless lithium prices were above long-term forecasts for lithium prices, western produced sodium-ion batteries weren't going to compete on cost when you factored in all the cost structure associated with making them. One of the inputs was cheaper, but not the whole package.
