Well that’s a stretch, the only positive move he did on an economic footing was buy Blue Poles for $1.3 million, it’s worth a hell of a lot more today if the National Galley ever decided to sell it.
Galloping inflation of 17% was a hard thing to stop and took some unpopular moves by the next guys.
You can argue about his social changes but they were inevitable in time anyway.
