Some number crunching on proxy and online votes for resolution 5...the remuneration report.
These votes are shown in the left-hand columns of the AGM meeting results release.
So you can see 196,996,023 votes for, 217.936.414 against, 31,277,544 discretionary (meaning the proxies or chairman will vote as they see fit at the meeting) and 7,542,495 abstain.
These figures are actually lower than what was shown briefly on screen at the AGM.
My hastily jotted figures for resolution 5 were
192,621,970 for,
149,840,443 against,
31,144,844 discretionary
And 6.8m abstain.
So I wonder why the discrepancy?
