I own both and yes have done better out of JBH. I was buying big dollops of stock around $40-45 in 2022/23 rate freak out era. We're now $65 SP roughly. I was buying HVN over the same period but haven't done nearly as well, yes. However, I still like HVN, I think the RE assets is potentially a sleeper for the valuation. Importantly I like the product, I feel inspired everytime I walk into the furniture section of HVN.
