A cynic could also argue you are clutching at straws to make yourself feel better about the company missing growth expectations built into the share price by the market.
I've held this for years, but I can still be critical. I think Vifor looks like a blunder and management now engage in financial engineering in their reporting which never used to be the case. The quality of CSL's reporting has declined, yet the stock has also derated which probably compensates for it becoming a lower growth lower quality business.
