At least there was some reduction. You can read between the lines that Vifor is underperforming management projections, and that effectively means CSL overpaid.
The LTI is ROIC and EPS growth. I actually think that is a good thing given that those are the long term drivers of the share price. Management focus on the share price via TSR metrics can be bad for shareholders longer term.
You could argue that when CSL jumped over 50% in 2019 it was very overvalued, and subsequently has been flat in order for the multiple to de rate. Not to mention the drag Covid impacts and Vifor has been sentiment.
