There is a difference between buying the core banking system, and then implementing it - just because it's a USA based system doesn't mean that it was a US implementation. Oracle Flexcube is a pretty standard banking platform, however I can assure you, the migration from one system to another is a massive undertaking. BSP had been planning this for a very long time, so this is really disappointing

KSL to small for Flexcube back in the early days (post Maybank), and I'm not sure how the ANZ acquisition was addressed, my assumption would have been that it would have been easier to move from the existing KSL banking system and adopting ANZ's, although there was a published upgrade in 2017 to the existing solution. link: Kina Bank to introduce new system - Post Courier

I'd need to read back through their Annual Reports to see if I can spot a change in banking system or how they addressed the merge with ANZ ATM's and Customers

On a positive note for KSL, BSP's lack of clarity, the debiting of CASA monies (that has really got the population riled up), the general lack of anything from BSP - has meant KSL attracting new customers in droves. What's interesting about some of the articles is stating lack of monies in ATM's, that happens because people withdraw it faster than BSP can fill it. I'd say people are sucking the maximums out of the ATMs in cash rather than relying on BSPs Digital Platforms to work properly (assumptions only). BSP won't fill the ATMs when there are crowds around, so they will likely wait until the word spreads that there is no more cash in the ATMs (the the crowds disappear), and then fill them (that normally happens under armed escort FYI).
