KSL is or already has recently implemented its WhatsApp digital banking system. Unlike western cashless systems requiring cards, card readers, card provider transaction fees etc, the KSL system allows any two individuals to pay one another through the app using their phones. It is in line with much of the Asian digital banking model. If BSP continues to disappoint in the hard cash area, and fails to provide digital alternatives, we may see an increased demand for KSLs digital banking platform depending on how successful KSL is at advertising/converting its new customers to the digital model.
