Political issues and regulatory issues are excruciatingly slow for small startups like COB to cope with. They have had to wait, simple as that, they are not in control of those issues, it looks to me like they have done all they could to be ready for anticipated approvals from Fed and WA Governments.
I do agree that momentum has moved substantially this week. You just never know with politics until its fact!
Business needs certainty above all else, the wait is so long and hard. Doubt will exist until its fully expunged! That was largely done this week with those critical bills for critical (pardon the pun) minerals actually getting signed into law.
Enabeling legislation for critical minerals should allow a dozen or more entities to feel a lot more relaxed and able to look at forgeing ahead. It enables WA to move, in enables the Federal Government to move and importantly it gives extra surety to our partners. it enables potential customers to see a path to a safe reliable Australian supply chain.
I am confident that COB/Iwatani will build the refinery, writing some early chapters in the Western Worlds new Nickle/Cobalt story. Will we have to wait a long time from here? I tend to see things speeding up from here IMO.
Perhaps the first cab off the rank could be a WA Gov grant which would be nice to see as a marker. Perhaps we could hope for some more substantive comments from our partner following the Governments passing of the legislation this week, that will have been an attractive event for Iwatani IMO.
