clstw, cheers for posting what JW's reply was, it's what I expected it would be. There isn't a lot that JW or EQX can do to directly control the share price. I see JW also mentioned the macro factors affecting sentiment towards the IO industry, a point I had been making. There doesn't seem to be any EQX specific news that can be identified to explain the share price fall, and JW continues to be very confident in the company's projects.

At the moment, I'm attributing the share price fall to either macro events that are negatively affecting the IO sector and general confidence in the resource sector, or an entity is trying to manipulate the share price down to suit their agenda.

mal, as others have said, we'd only be vulnerable to a bid if one of our top 3 holders was onside. I'm not sure I can see them being a party to their EQX investment purposely being run down, then sold at this very run down price, in the hope that the scrip they receive will be able to make up that lost value from the EQX run down plus a return big enough from these new shares that would be big enough to warrant employing such a strategy. It would seem even stranger when you consider that the major holders would be well aware of the possible returns should EQX be able to push forward further towards production.

banksy88, your theory of Exxaro possibly playing with the share price to influence infrastructure sharing negotiations is an interesting one.

Whatever is going on at the moment, announcements scheduled to be released over the next few months should ignite interest in the company. So, if the share price does have something to do with a possible low ball bid in the wind, you'd think the bid would need to arrive soon to get in before the JORC and Scoping Study announcements.
