Yes - agree with you. Trading from Friday onwards on the ASX will be on an Ex-entitlement basis - so it doesn't matter how quickly your broker settles or doesn't - or how often the share registry calculates... those shares are EX-entitlement so the previous holder is entitled to the shares. It is not up to the broker or the register, your contract via the ASX determines what you have bought/sold.
