Ting, the 4DS CTO (top shed) says he thinks it will be fine based on his knowledge of the physics of the Tech. I believe him for what that's worth. These guys (Ting and Guido) have been working with the 4DS Tech for many years now. They have previously scaled the cells down successfully. I was at at the AGM and Ting was not lacking confidence!
I'm more concerned about IMEC's kit personally. They are using new gear for this and they have previously f up for which Guido fell on his sword as CEO even though it was mostly down to IMEC at the time (which only came out later).
Having said that, IMEC are the premier semiconductor R&D establishment in the world and it would be surprising if they were to screw up with 4DS again. I don't think they will personally.
20nm success and this company sells for a very nice sum IMO.
