I've been in IT since 1995, first job was at Memorex Telex, this was in the era of robotic storage for AS400s, 40ft in length. Fast forward I've sold and repented about 20 brands from the Valley over the years. A friend asked me to review the tech in 2018 and I said no one can do that in Aus, then dug a bit deeper and tI liked the story. The main concepts were power savings and more memory per sqcm. The motherboard is a very expensive piece of realestate, so if you can solve the power + density pickle matrix problem then you have a winner. With the advancement in AI computing demands, think 100x, the power problem will be a much bigger problem. There still needs to be some architecture changes to the motherboards for 4DS to be better than the current way but this will come over time as power savings and efficiency will become more important than raw speed. I have since met a few of the 4DS team and I'm satisfied they are on the right path. On a side nite, the bulk of my shares have been hiding behind a Citicorp nominees account but will appear in the top 20 as I've transferred from custodial to HIN.
