Perhaps the exact wording of my last post gave the wrong impression with regards to my take of the MC's salary. Of course, the MC would not have been responsible for setting his own salary. That would have been the board's decision, and maybe they had considerable faith in the MC's credentials that made them think the high salary was appropriate. Anyhow, as a former investor in BCC, to me the high salary was entirely inconsistent with the modest revenues and net cash flows of the company. With the company's costs and expenses starting to mount, it would have been appropriate for some belt tightening to occur, with pay cuts for those responsible for the financial shortfalls. At the end of the day, it appears that its the shareholders that have had to endure a major fall in the value of their investment in BCC. Shareholders deserve better.
