The State Govt have got themselves in a hole now. Having given in to the anti fossil fuel activists, by refusing to support Mel, there will be no end to this. All future projects are now under threat, whether they be oil, coal or gas.
This has been a disaster for all long suffering shareholders. The last straw for me is when ERM Power sold all their shares. Took my crumbs over to STO. Lost 122k on Mel! Not interested at all in a new Mel.
Can't understand why the majors did not takeover Mel. 25 million to them is just petty cash. The gas reserves are there. They could of sat on it indefinitely. No doubt the majors would have been treated differently by the State Govt. Because Mel was just an explorer with not much cash the StateGovt treated Mel like a second class citizen. We had no chance.
