Here is a possible scenario for you to conjure macda.
H&G (perhaps suddenly it seems) want a greater proportion of the company.
They want some way of getting it without having the problem relating to the 20% rule.
At short notice there are not going to be too many retail shareholders who are going to, or even going to be able to, virtually double their shareholding.
Those interested in a larger bite are able to bid for the shortfall. Perhaps a friend of H&G might be very interested in bidding for what I expect will be a very large portion of the company available.
The indecent haste seems very interesting.
I wonder how things are going over there with those Roquefort negotiations with Big Pharma.
