hmmm, for some reason I was under the impression that if I didn't vote the Chairman would be able to choose how my shares could vote.
I cannot recall why I have that impression, if I read it somewhere or it was merely an assumption.
Though it now appears from reading this
Company shareholders | ASIC - Australian Securities and Investments Commission
and this
RFX-Board-Charter-adopted-18_12_14.pdf (redflow.com)
that if a vote is not cast by the share holder, then that vote is considered to be abstained.
Lesson for next time.
