You may be interested in further info that eventuated from the meeting. Bearing in mind the problems experienced at the start of the year with the time it took to drill J50 I asked what was the anticipated time it would take for the next well and DT answered that he hoped it would be around 45 days and with a more experienced operator. He did mention that even thought the first took so long it didn't cost any more as it was a turn-key contract. They did however learn a lot from the experience. On the subject of flow rates he did get very technical but what I understand is that J50 is a carbonaceous well and requires acid to clean it up and to stimulate. The next well is anticipated to be a sandstone well and will not require this treatment.
Perhaps someone with more technical expertise can explain the reasons why the difference.Hope this helps a bit. Geraldo
