Id say there are deeper underlying reasons as to why major holders wanted Larry gone.
For what ever reason - they wanted him gone. Logically - the next director should be with an Asian connection base.
Sign the jv, fund the SPV and there will be plenty of great candidates wanting to be associated with ECT.
