The AMU buyback seems deliberately boring. Effectively, it looks to me like the company is taking itself over, with no premium, and a share price that is sure to decline as the buyback continues (that usually happens), so it's a takeover at a discount. As the company is now a cannibal, eating itself, it does so quietly, so no-one notices. The beautiful words in the explanatory memorandum, that spoke of increasing shareholder wealth with this buyback, seem like the usual bunkum.

I reckon they'll run the SP down to 18c, use up their moolah, and then that other mob will take them over, because they'll then be able to afford it, and apparently, it's uncool to taker over cash- so, what else could the company do buyt use up all their cash! There will be some benefit, thoug, as the major holders won't sell, and will own more of the company, so benefit from the takeover I reckon will occur. I Hope I'm wrong with all of it.
