It would appear that the jealousy factor is evident when some folks start rubbishing the poor old shorters.

It is quite obvious that the shorters are the ones winning on this stock, and good luck to them, for it is quite legal.

However one issue that has not been raised is dividends, If a dividend has been paid on a stock in which an investor is short, then the dividend is taken out of the shorters account. Depending on what stock he/she chooses to short this can amount to a tidy sum. In the case of Cudeco where there is no dividends this is an added benefit to the shorter.
