Couldn't agree more with the warning about doing business with Chinese. It's very one sided. Lots of emphasis on "understanding how they do business" (i.e.do it our way). Lots of potential for them to take insult, lose face etc. but in the end they will use any tool to gain the upper hand. Their attitude is "if we can stiff you, then you deserve to get stiffed." Not saying that we don't have sharp business practices in the West, but its not a national sport.
On the AGY deal - we definitely dodged a bullet.
